Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics
CMDL > Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics
Molecular diagnostics plays a pivotal role in histocompatibility and immunogenetics,
particularly in organ and stem cell transplantation. At CMDL, advanced molecular typing
methods, including PCR-SSP, PCR-SSO, and real-time PCR, are used to accurately
determine HLA alleles, ensuring optimal donor–recipient matching. This precision
minimises the risk of graft rejection and enhances transplant success rates. We also
perform post-transplant monitoring to detect early signs of rejection or infection, supporting
timely clinical interventions. By integrating high-resolution molecular testing with
immunogenetic expertise, CMDL enables personalised transplant strategies that improve
outcomes, prolong graft survival, and advance the science of immune compatibility in
clinical practice.
